With nearly 70 past inductees, the Broward County Sports Hall of Fame is one of Fort Lauderdale's most prominent sport-related facilities. Sports recognized in the Hall of Fame include everything from diving and archery to soccer and waterskiing, ensuring that no sport legend should ever go unsung.   • Ed "Whitey" Ford - Known as one of the New York Yankees' and baseball's "All Time Greats" this 43 year Fort Lauderdale resident was inducted into the Broward County Sports Hall of Fame in 2005.   • Laurie Fleming Rowley - A native of Fort Lauderdale, Laurie Fleming Rowley is one of the county's All Time Tennis Greats. Laurie won her first National Age Group Championship at the Orange Bowl Tennis Tournament when she was just 10. Since turning pro in 1973, Laurie has competed in Wimbledon, the US Open, and the French Open. She was ranked 13th in the world at one point.
