It all started when Mina Edison bestowed her kindness upon guest who
frequented her home in Fort Myers in the early 1900's. Today, this perfect
Florida beach house mimics an old Florida style home where Edison's dedication
to hospitality can still be experienced. With only 24 suites, each guest
received only the best service. The Edison Beach House is located on the
westerly shore of Estero Island near the Gulf of Mexico and only steps away from
the Times Square area where you will find a number of intimate eateries, casual
boutiques, the hippest surf shops, and a popular fishing pier where no fishing
license is required.
Beautiful Suites

fit 2-3 people while the double suites can fit up to 5 people. There are 7
spacious floor plans to accommodate for honeymooners, couples or an entire
family. Each suite has fully equipped General Electric kitchen appliances that
include: a full sized refrigerator, icemaker, dishwasher, oven, microwave,
washer and dryer. There are also countertop appliances, dishes, and small wares.
There is also a 47" HDTV as well as complementary wireless internet access.
Unlike condo rentals, Edison Beach House provides daily housekeeping services at
no extra costs. Their own beach as well as the warm freshwater pool is also
cleaned daily. All the suites at Edison Beach House are non-smoking (only one on
Fort Myers Beach) although smoking is allowed on the private lanais attached to
each suite.
Features at the Beach House
Take a refreshing swim in the heated Gulf front freshwater pool with a
sundeck or go on the beach and watch the dolphins as they frequently come near
the shore. You can also see dolphins from your private lanai. The pool is
similar to the one built in 1910 by Mr. Edison. This historical pool can still
be viewed today at the Edison-Ford estate. Other great features include a
country yard grill that is great for vacationing gourmet, work related equipment
(i.e.: copier, fax, or small desktop supplies), as well as complementary premium
movies you can enjoy in the comfort of your suite.
