The 2004-2005 SeasonThe 2004-2005 season proved to be a turning point for the Miami Heat as they acquired three major players via a trade with the Los Angeles Lakers. Brian Grant, Caron Butler and Shaquille ONeal became a pivotal part of the Heats defense, as the team went on to win their Division Title, playing the Detroit Pistons for the Eastern Conference Championship. The Heat would eventually lose to the Pistons in game seven. The Heat have continued to beef up their lineup during the 2005 off-season, acquiring Jason Williams and James Posey from the Memphis Grizzlies, and Eddie Hones and Antoine Walker via the Boston Celtics.
