History
The Orlando Predators were created in 1991, and since then have been able to
consistently rank among the top in the league. Throughout the team's history the
Predators have qualified for the playoffs for 13 consecutive years and have
posted a league-record of 13 consecutive winning seasons! Since its inception,
the team has played at the TD Waterhouse Centre, also known as The Jungle due to
the hostile environment from the fans, harsh smoke that fills the arena during
the players introduction, and a Guns N' Roses song which "welcomes" other teams.

About AFL
For those of you heading to Orlando in your car rental that are not familiar
with the Orlando Predators and the sport of Arena Football, think of it as a
blend of football and hockey without the ice. While attending an indoor soccer
game in 1981, Jim Foster, a former executive of the National Football League,
had an idea. Based on traditional North American football, Foster began
developing the basic rules of the sport that would become known as Arena
Football. Essentially the game is broken down into four 15 minute quarters, 15
minute halftime and 15 minutes of overtime. The field is 85 feet wide and 50
yards long with no out of bounds, instead the sidelines are girded by 48-inch
high, high-density foam padding.
Greatest Team in the AFL
As part of the Arena Football League's 20th anniversary celebration, the
league released its list of the 20 greatest games ever played and the Orlando
Predators were featured four times on the list! The team has become known as
being one of the premier franchises in Arena Football League history and are
seen as one of the greatest teams in AFL history and you will get to see just

Predators Foundation
The Predators are not just about football! They are also heavily active off
of the field as well. The team is heavily involved in helping out the community
through their Foundation. Chartered in 2004, the foundation was initially formed
to allow the Predators to better organize its community relations to help out
the lives of fellow Floridians. The main event that the Foundation costs is the
annual Black and Red Ball. This event helps the Conductive Education Centers of
Florida, the Ronald McDonald Homes of Orlando and other various local charities.
Another major event created by the Predators Foundation included a Predators
Loose in the Zoo' promotion with the Central Florida Zoo. Attendees at the zoo
received special discounts when they donated school supplies. The Predators
collected those supplies and donated them to needy school children throughout
Central Florida.
